Dare District
Roll around a shared city board, choose Truth or Dare, complete safe real-life dares, and claim districts on the race to 15 Courage Points.

About Dare District
Dare District turns a video-call lobby or living room into one shared party board. Two to eight players roll around a colorful city loop, landing on named districts that offer a choice: answer a friendly truth for two Courage Points or perform a safe real-life dare for three. Complete a prompt on an open district and it becomes yours.
When another player later completes a prompt there, you earn an owner bonus, so every claimed space changes the value of future rolls. Spotlight spaces deal bigger group challenges, rest spaces keep the pace light, and every trip past Launch Plaza adds a point. The board handles movement, turns, ownership and scoring while the people provide the memorable part in real life. Passing is always allowed, never costs points and never needs an explanation.
How to Play Dare District
Dare District Rules
- The host opens the city with every present player placed on Launch Plaza. The host takes the first turn and play moves clockwise through the roster.
- On your turn, roll one six-sided die. Your token moves automatically around the twenty-space city loop.
- A district landing lets you choose Truth or Dare. A completed Truth earns 2 Courage Points; a completed Dare earns 3.
- Completing a prompt on an unowned district claims it. If another player later completes a prompt on your district, you earn 1 bonus point.
- Spotlight spaces deal a group-friendly real-life challenge worth 3 points. Rest spaces award 1 point immediately and end the turn.
- Crossing Launch Plaza awards 1 point. The first player to reach 15 Courage Points wins.
- A player can pass any prompt with no penalty and no explanation. The turn simply moves on.
- Never invent or substitute a prompt involving dangerous stunts, unwanted touching, illegal acts, sexual content, humiliation, property damage, alcohol or substances.
Tips to Win
- Choose Dare while the room has energy: the extra point shortens the path to fifteen and claims the district at the same time.
- Use Truth when a physical challenge would slow the game down or when you want a reliable claim on an open district.
- Claim districts spread around the board rather than clustered together. More coverage means more chances to collect owner bonuses.
- Watch who is close to fifteen. Completing a prompt on their district gives them a point, so passing can occasionally deny the winning bonus.
- Keep the play area clear before the match. Safe space to stand, gesture and move makes every physical prompt faster.
- Treat comfort as more important than score. A quick pass preserves the mood and gets the die to the next player.
Best for
Dare District is for friends who want the social energy of Truth or Dare with enough board-game structure to prevent one person from doing all the prompting. It works in a living room, on a video call or in a hybrid group because the site tracks the shared city while each prompt happens wherever the player is. The prompts are friendly rather than adult, so it suits mixed friend groups, families with teens, remote teams and first-night icebreakers. It is especially good for groups that like playful performance but want an explicit, penalty-free way to opt out.
