About Reflex Duel

Reflex Duel is a wild-west standoff compressed into pure reaction time. Two players take the two seats, the host starts, and both screens go dark with a single instruction: wait. After a random 2 to 5 second wait, FIRE! appears and both players slam their screens.

The system measures each reaction to the millisecond and displays both times side by side, so there is no arguing with the result; the faster tap takes the round and 25 points. Fire during the hold phase and you forfeit instantly, handing your opponent 10 points, which makes the wait itself the real psychological battleground. Rounds take seconds, so best-of-whatever series escalate naturally.

Reflex Duel Rules

  • Two players take the two seats; the rest of the lobby watches.
  • The host starts the duel and both players see a dark waiting screen.
  • After a random 2 to 5 second delay, FIRE! appears for both players at the same time.
  • Tap as fast as you can. Both reaction times are measured in milliseconds and shown side by side.
  • The faster tap wins the round and 25 points on the lobby scoreboard.
  • Firing during the hold phase is a premature trigger: instant forfeit, and your opponent takes 10 points.

Tips to Win

  • React to the flash, not the clock. The delay is random precisely so counting gets you disqualified.
  • Rest your finger on the screen with light pressure; travel distance is measurable milliseconds.
  • Between rounds, watch your opponent's times. A 350ms player can be baited into jumpy early triggers by your calm.
  • Exhale during the hold. Held breath tightens reaction time by a fraction, and duels are decided by fractions.
  • If you lose two straight, change nothing but your focus point; staring at the screen center beats staring at your thumb.

Best for

The definitive settle-it-now game for two people, whether the dispute is who picks the next game or who has genuinely faster hands. Rounds finish in seconds with hard millisecond evidence, spectators get a real show, and the premature-trigger rule adds just enough mind-game to keep it from being a pure twitch test.

Reflex Duel FAQ

Instant forfeit. A premature trigger ends the round on the spot and awards your opponent 10 points, so patience is half the game.

No. The hold phase lasts a random 2 to 5 seconds each round, specifically so you cannot count it down.

Reactions are measured in milliseconds from the moment FIRE! appears, and both times are displayed side by side after the round.

Only two duelists fight at a time, but slots reopen every round, so a lobby can run a rotating champion-stays ladder.
