The deal
With 2 players everyone gets 7 cards; with 3 or more, 5 cards. One card turns face up to start the pile.
- 2
Match it
On your turn, play a card that matches the top card by number or by suit.
- 3
Eights are wild
An 8 can go on anything. When you play one, you pick the suit the next player has to match.
- 4
Nothing to play?
Draw from the deck. If you still cannot play, pass your turn.
The rules
- The first player with no cards left wins the round and gets 50 points.
- You can draw from the deck on your turn, then play a card or pass.
- After an 8, match the suit its player picked, not the 8 itself.
- Deal again starts a new round for the same table.
Tips to win
- Save your 8s for when you are stuck. They are your only way out of a bad hand.
- Play the suit you hold the most of, so you keep having moves.
- Watch how many cards the others hold. When someone is down to one, change the suit with an 8.
