Tactical Debrief (FAQ)
Pictionary, Charades, Horse Race, Memory Match and Category Blitz all work for a family of mixed ages, and all of them are free in a browser. The host creates a room and sends the invite link; everyone joins from their own phone, tablet or computer with nothing to download and no account needed.
Send them the room's invite link. Everyone plays on their own device, so a relative on a video call has the same screen and the same turns as the people in the room. Keep the call on a separate device, and do not share your screen with the game on it.
Pictionary. Nobody needs to read much, drawing skill is spread evenly across every age, and a round is funnier when the drawing is bad. Memory Match is the quiet alternative, and grandparents tend to win it.
Yes. Turn on Own Language in Lobby Settings. In Pictionary and Charades each player then reads the words in their own language, so a family that reads two languages can play the same round. Other games use the room language.
Most of these games take up to 10 or 12 players, and Group RPS takes up to 20. For a bigger family, run two rooms, one for the kids and one for the adults, and bring everyone together for the last game.
Imposter, Mafia Lite, Finish the Sentence and Lie Detector. A group of friends is happy to accuse each other of lying, which is what these games run on. Finish the Sentence suits a group of more than 10, because everyone writes at the same time.
No. Everything runs in a phone or computer browser. Anyone can join as a guest from the invite link, and the host can create the room as a guest too.
In the United States, Thanksgiving is Thursday, November 26, 2026. In Canada it is Monday, October 12, 2026. The games and the running order in this guide work for both.
